What is Brow Lamination?

Brow lamination is a chemical restructuring treatment applied to the brow hairs themselves. A softening solution breaks down the hair’s internal bonds just enough to make each strand pliable. The hairs are then brushed into the desired position — upward, outward, or smoothed flat — and a setting solution locks them there. The result is a uniform, brushed-up brow that holds its shape for four to six weeks.

The treatment does not alter the skin or involve any injection. It works entirely on the hair shaft, which is why it produces that clean, feathery finish that looks styled but not stiff.

Eyebrow lamination and tint are most often booked together. The tint is applied after the lamination step and deepens the natural colour of the brow hairs, making sparse areas appear denser and giving the arch a more defined edge. For clients whose brows are naturally light or uneven in colour, the combination of brow lamination and tint makes the most visible difference in a single session. The full appointment runs approximately 45 to 60 minutes.

Consultation

Your technician reviews your natural brow shape, hair density, and preferred arch. They establish the direction of lift and agree on tint shade where applicable – this step determines the entire outcome.

Cleansing and Preparation

The brow area is thoroughly cleansed to remove any oils, makeup residue, or skincare that would interfere with solution absorption. A barrier cream is applied around the brow line to protect the surrounding skin.

Eyebrows Lamination

The softening solution is applied and left on the hairs for a precisely timed period based on hair thickness. The hairs are then combed into position and the setting solution is applied to fix the shape.

Tinting

Once the lamination solutions are removed, tint is applied to the brows and left to develop. The shade is matched to your natural tone or chosen to create a defined, bolder result.

Shaping

Stray hairs outside the brow line are removed to clean up the frame and sharpen the overall shape. This is done after the lamination and tint to ensure the final arch is edited accurately.
